| Log Off Every Time
When you have finished your online session, always disconnect from the Internet. Even if you have a firewall installed, as an added precaution, it is a good idea to log off not only from any website you've logged into but to log off completely from all Internet browsers. This will ensure that all information related to the websites you've visited and the transactions you've made is erased from your computer. This is especially important if you have logged on from a shared or public computer, such as in a library or at an Internet cafe.
